Terms & Conditions

 The following terms and conditions apply to all Blooming Cakes by Joanna products:

 

1. Prices & Order Confirmation

Upon enquiry, the price provided for the Blooming Cakes products shall be valid for 14 days and is non-negotiable.  Unfortunately it is not possible to agree an order and time slot until a deposit has been paid so it is recommended that availability is checked before the order is placed so as not to be disappointed.

 

2. Ingredients and Special Dietary Requirements

The Blooming Cakes products use the highest quality ingredients, such as flour, egg, cocoa, sugar, margarine and butter, and are freshly prepared without the use of preservatives.  

 

To create the distinctive Blooming Cakes products food colour additives are used in the buttercream.

 

Although Blooming Cakes products do not include nuts, it is not possible to guarantee that the products are nut free and therefore potential customers with a nut allergy should not place an order.

 

For any special dietary requirements then please make an enquiry and a response shall be provided as soon as practicable.

 

3. Best Before Date  

Blooming Cakes products are baked and created to ensure they are fresh for the date of the order and as only natural ingredients are used they are at their best if consumed within 24 hours.  Blooming Cakes products do not use additives or preservatives to extend shelf life.

 

4. Storage Conditions

Blooming Cakes products will remain fresh for the period stated in Section 3 above if stored at room temperature in a cool dry room.  Do not store the Blooming Cakes products in the refrigerator and if the customer fails to follow the guidance above then Blooming Cakes shall not be held responsible or liable.

 

5. Non-Edible Items

It is the Customer’s responsibility to remove any non-edible items, such as ribbons, cellophane etc, before consumption.  

 

6. Ordering Guidance

The Customer is requested to provide as much notice period as possible to avoid disappointment.  Where this is not possible then the Customer should contact Blooming Cakes to determine whether it is possible to accommodate the short notice order.

7. Product Quality

Blooming Cakes products are created individually by hand to the highest quality possible and although every effort is made to ensure consistency there may be small variations which are unavoidable.

 

If the Customer is unsatisfied with the Blooming Cakes product then it is requested that Blooming Cakes are contacted immediately.

 

8. Deposits and Balance of Payment

The Customer can secure an order by providing a minimum of 50% deposit of the total price quoted within 24 hours of the price being provided.  This deposit is non-refundable and if it is not paid within 24 hours the order may be cancelled.   In exceptional circumstances beyond Blooming Cakes control, for events such as ill health, mechanical breakdown, fire etc, deposits can be cancelled.  Confirmation of cancellation along with reimbursing the deposit shall be provided as soon as practicable to the Customer.

 

Balance of payment for orders shall be due at the point of collection / delivery.

 

9. Change of Order

After the Customer has paid the deposit for the Blooming Cakes products it may not be possible to amend the order in terms of design, quantity, delivery / collection details.

 

10. Collection and Delivery

The Customer can collect their order at a predetermined time and date at Blooming Cakes premises in Allestree Derby; the address details will be confirmed when the order deposit is provided and the Customer would like to collect.  Any proposed changes to the collection time and date should be communicated to Blooming Cakes with as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment.

 

Blooming Cakes may consider delivering orders subject to availability and distance.  Full and correct delivery details should be provided by the Customer at the point of order.  Blooming Cakes shall not be responsible or liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect details being provided by the Customer.  If the delivery cannot be completed as there is no one to receive the Blooming Cakes products this will be deemed a ‘failed delivery’ and it is the Customer’s responsibility to collect the Blooming Cakes product at their own cost.

 

11. Publication

Blooming Cakes reserve the right to use any image of the products provided to Customers for publication on social media and other publications.
